The press conference of the Biennial will take place on September 10, 2009 at 10.00 and be followed by the professional preview on September 10-11, 2009. The official opening of the Biennial is scheduled for September 11 at 19.00.

Returning Journalists
If you attended the İstanbul Biennial in 2007 and submitted your coverage from the last Biennial, you will have received an accreditation form by June 2009. Please return the completed form by August 28, 2009 at the latest.
You will receive a letter confirming your accreditation.
If you have attended the Biennial in the past but missed last year, please turn to New Request. Please ensure that we have your correct affiliation and mailing address. If your address has changed, please notify us as soon as possible.

New Requests
If you are attending the Biennial for the first time or did not attend it in 2007, please send the following documents to the press office:

  1. a letter from your editor/producer on company letterhead that assigns you to cover the Biennial, states the intention to publish/air your reports, and specifies in as much detail as possible the type of coverage you are planning (e.g. overview of the Biennial, interviews, critics, etc.)
  2. a recent copy of your publication/programme with circulation information.

The accreditation form you will get must be returned by August 28, 2009, at the latest. You will receive a letter confirming your accreditation.

ACCREDITATION OF OTHER PROFESSIONALS
(Artists, Gallerists, Curators, Art related institutions, etc.)

Professionals will also get accreditation from the press office.
If you attended the İstanbul Biennial in 2007, you will have received an accreditation form by June 2009.

Please return the completed form by August 28, 2009, at the latest. You will receive a letter confirming your accreditation.
If you are attending the Biennial for the first time or did not attend it in 2007, please submit a letter informing us which institution you will be representing. If you are a freelancer, please provide us with the information on your latest exhibition, etc. Upon receiving information from your side, you will receive a letter confirming your accreditation and informing you where and when you can pick up your pass.
