The Reader, What Keeps Mankind Alive?, is prepared by editors WHW and İlkay Baliç, and designed by Dejan Kršić. Including a comprehensive article by WHW, on themes that are relevant to the conceptual framework of the Biennial, the Reader provides diverse perspectives to the viewers. The Guide includes venue plans, a Biennial map, informative texts about the artists and their works, as well as visuals from projects, statistics about the budget structure of the exhibition, and texts written by WHW and Ulrike Gerhardt. This publication can be purchased at the Biennial venues for 10 Euro.
